Benefits of vegetarian diet

Fit 'n' Tasty catering gives you the opportunity to choose a vegetarian diet for many reasons. For some people, eating vegetarian is a way to be healthier or to avoid hormones used in animal foods. For others, eating this way has more to do with religion, animal rights, or environmental concerns.

If you're considering a vegetarian diet, you'll want to consider what type of vegetarian you'll be.  Our menu offers you a variety of food.

You can try to eat at least 5 of 80g portions of fresh, dried or juiced fruit and vegetables a day. 

As well as vitamins and minerals, fruit and vegetables provide fibre, which can help digestion and prevents constipation.

Once you've decided which foods you wan to avoid, you will also want to come up with a plan to ensure that you are able to get all the nutrients your body needs. You can get many of the health benefits of being vegetarian without going all the way.

1. Eggs, menu name: Sun-dried tomato salad with egg

Vegetarianism comes in many forms, most of which accept eggs. Both the white and yolk of an egg are rich in nutrients, including inexpensive high quality protein.

Snack 1:

2. Pumpkin, menu name: Pumpkin soup

Pumpkin is high in potassium. The minerals support heart health, bone strength, muscle strength and good blood pressure.

3. Tofu, menu name: Coated tofu with broccoli.

Another widely used choice as a meat substitute. Not only does it provide a good amount of protein, it is also a good source of iron and calcium and is believed to help lower levels of bad cholesterol.

Studies show that in Western countries, vegetarians tend to get the same amount of iron as meat eaters.

Our food gives you value Vitamin C, vitamins B and other acids found in fruits and vegetables. Vitamin B12 is found only in animal products, but those products include dairy foods and eggs, so most vegetarians get all they need.

We also use yeast flakes is the vegan food with s cheesy, nutty taste made from primary inactive yeast with B12.

Yeast flakes, are native inactive yeast, contain exceptional nutritional values and health properties like body's immunity and lower cholesterol.

Our carrot cake is a delicious dessert rich in vitamin K1, beta carotene and is a weight-loss-friendly.

5. Avocado, menu name: Avocado, tomato pasta

Avocado provides a large amount of proteins, fats and enzymes which are all common in meat. 

It is considered one of the superfoods with its high nutrient value. Most importantly, it tastes wonderful.
